With all that has happened in Afghanistan since August 2021, I was inspired to create three designs symbolising three things Afghans have a lot of and need to maintain: hope, strength and resilience, and honour.

This design represents hope. Featuring a kite decorated with a pair of the beloved’s eyes, the infamous Kabul mountains with the colourful houses teetering, and a Dari proverb written underneath that means “in the place where water once ran, water will run again”.
