Afghans do not speak Arabic so I learned the words Habibi/Habibti spending time with all my Arab loves. I knew Habibi would make for some DELICIOUS hoops, and I think I was right!

If you are a jaan you are also probably a habibi.

Model, Parvin:

Parvin jaan and Blingistan owner, Shamayel, have been friends since they were teenagers in Kabul, and even lived together, both in Kabul (Karte-Se) and Berlin (Prenzlauer Berg). Parvin fled to Germany, with her now eight year old son, Benjamin, via human smuggling when the borders opened in 2015. She has lived a thousand lives worth of anecdotes, experiences, pain and love, and is a proud single mom, an artist, a strong intersectional feminist, a university student, and a wataandar (Afghan patriot).
